Conversion Project: Apple Pie Block (free pattern!)

So yesterday I saw this spectacular Apple Pie block by @heyporkchop and I knew I must have it. After a little conversation, googling, and otherwise exploring I’ve found this to be a traditional pattern, but I don’t have any info on the background of it. I’ve ordered Block Base (!!) so hopefully I’ll have more info on all the traditional blocks soon. 😀

So here you go. A paper pieced Apple Pie block.

fabricfinal

Fabrics in my example are from tsuru, dear stella confetti dots, catnap, and 2wenty three, or however you’re supposed to spell it.

I haven’t tested this one yet, although I plan on it soon, so if you make it please send me a picture. 🙂

Fabric requirements:

  • fat 1/8th of five fabrics, or scrap it up!

Finishes at 24″ as all my conversion project patterns do, but I also added extra basic instructions to make a 12″ block since I know not everyone wants a 24″ block.

Clicky clicky!
