Conversion Project: X Plus Variable Sizes

The people have spoken – I got a couple of requests for alternate sizes for X Plus blocks, so here you go. I’ve done an additional set of templates for both 3″ and 6″ blocks in the same document for convenience.

Here’s the button. Clicky clicky! It’s free!

Question: on the 3″ block, would you suggest a 1/4″ seam or 1/8″ seam?

Good question Elizabeth! I usually play it by ear, but if I’ve got two seams intersecting or overlapping seam allowances I tend to go for 1/8″ on these tiny blocks. Sometimes I’ll go for somewhere between 1/4″ and 1/8″, or do one piece of fabric 1/4″ and the other 1/8″.For the joining seams between two units I’ll usually leave them 1/4″ and press them open.
